U Villa
The U-shaped house was inspired by the horseshoe and the outer envelope was inspired by the Burqa’a. Two essential but different elements in the Saudi culture. Elements that resemble both pride and humbleness, strength and privacy, beauty and mystery. Quite an interesting formula. Which is what this house is all about.
U Villa Residential House by Adel Badrawy has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. U Villa Residential House won the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that recognizes superior design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
