Shenzhen Social
Shenzhen Social Welfare Center is a comprehensive care complex in Longhua District, Shenzhen. The complex houses a children's home and an old people's home on a site of 32,269 square meters. The two residences are independent yet share resources, and are linked by corridors. A medical building sits at the center and is easily reached from both homes. The multi-story buildings face south for daylight and good ventilation. Courtyards and red brick follow the Lingnan tradition. The design aims to control cost and to create a bright, spacious and warm environment.
