S90 Residence
S90 Residence is a two-generation dwelling located in the northern part of Tainan County, Taiwan. The house is built with a steel structure and an exterior panel finish. The sloped roof is angled for good sun exposure, so photovoltaic solar panels can be added later. The white facade matches the green fields around the site and reduces heat gain from strong direct sunlight. The plan holds three functions: a shared public space, a second floor for the young couple, and a single story volume for the parents. The total development area is 324 square meters.
S90 Residence Residential Dwelling by Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan has been featured as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. S90 Residence Residential Dwelling was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition that rewards outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
