Trinity
Trinity is a street furniture representing a world where adults, children and animals get together. The circular form and the arrangement of the seating units represent sitting, shelter and social communication or social distance. Unlike existing street furniture, Trinity is designed for people to sit, and for animals to have a shelter and to be fed. The solid and void surfaces help to benefit from daylight and provide shade that is suitable for summer and winter seasons. Concrete and iron materials are recommended due to their resistance to exterior conditions.
Trinity Street Furniture by Ipek Memikoğlu has been recognized as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Trinity Street Furniture was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Street Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Street and City Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that celebrates exceptional design of benches, bollards, bus shelters, bicycle racks, litter bins, planters, signage, lighting fixtures and more.
