Wuyue Plaza of Shangrao
Wuyue Plaza of Shangrao is a shopping center in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, China. The facade is the defining element of the building and reflects local characteristics through the image of a sea of flowers. A total of 3025 curtain wall units, based on eight standard triangular types, are arranged across the facade. Parametric design creates smooth transitions between the units, showing flowers in bud, half open and full bloom. During the evening, lighting forms different patterns on the building surface.
Wuyue Plaza of Shangrao Commercial Space by Tengyuan Design was selected as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wuyue Plaza of Shangrao Commercial Space received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that recognizes exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
