Hyangsimjae
Hyangsimjae takes a holistic approach to medical treatments, combining family medicine and dermatology. It's design aims to create an intimate atmosphere and help the doctor and the patient to establish a relationship of mutual trust. This is why the rooms are designed in such a way that only a small number of people can enter them at a time. The natural materials, colors and light conditions of the interior radiate calm, and the use of glass and metal gives the building an urban appearance, while, at the same time, the rough exterior facade contrasts with the surrounding cityscape.
Hyangsimjae Clinic by Kwang-il An was recognized as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Hyangsimjae Clinic received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which recognizes outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
