Xixi Endliess Garden
Xixi Endliess Garden is a multifunctional club set in the Xixi Wetland of Hangzhou, China. The traditional structure of pavilions and corridors defines the buildings, the spaces and the functions. The pavilions stand within the wetland and are linked by corridors. A box like structure without central pillars adds a modern character to the traditional form. White walls and gray windows follow the building tradition of southern China. The construction area is 5,642 square meters. The planning limits the size of buildings and roads to protect the original wetland ecology.
Xixi Endliess Garden Multifunctional Club by Ling Chen has been recognized as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Xixi Endliess Garden Multifunctional Club earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
