Tianqingli Residential
Tianqingli Residential is a housing cluster located on the north side of the Shangtang River in Hangzhou, China. The design applies Song-style architecture through a simple modern language, keeping traditional forms readable. Thirty-two households are arranged on a site of 17900 square metres. Multiple courtyards and lanes link the homes to the surrounding hills and water, balancing openness with privacy. A curtain wall system combining aluminium alloy and wood supports the traditional appearance while controlling cost and construction time.
Tianqingli Residential Townhouse by Shen Likun was selected as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Tianqingli Residential Townhouse received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2023. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which recognizes excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
