Arena Shumen
Arena Shumen is a part of an ambitious project for the development of a multifunctional residential complex built around the sports hall and a five stars hotel. The site with an area of 55 decares is located in an attractive zone at the entrance of Shumen. The building has several functional areas - an area for spectators, a sports and training block, an area for press and a technical zone and is designed as a multifunctional sports hall for up to 2400 spectators. It can be used for variety of events and corresponds to all the international sports federations.
Arena Shumen Multifunctional Sports Hall by Kalloyan Kollev was selected as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Arena Shumen Multifunctional Sports Hall received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2023. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which recognizes excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
