Ji Xiang Dao
Ji Xiang Dao is a mixed use sales centre in Taipei, Taiwan. The building works as a small scale department store, combining dining, retail, entertainment and cultural events. The original structure was preserved and given new commercial functions. An expanded metal mesh facade and double layer walls soften the mass of the building and balance transparency and solidity. A central courtyard and clear pathways guide visitors and link indoor and outdoor areas. The two floor building uses a steel frame and has a total floor area of 2,670 square meters.
Ji Xiang Dao Sales Centre by Wey-Duan Luo, Tzu-Ping Chan was selected as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Ji Xiang Dao Sales Centre received the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2026. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that rewards excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
