EnGo
EnGo is an off-grid street light designed for public spaces. The main LED reflector is powered by solar cells or by a pad system that harvests kinetic energy from the footsteps of passersby. The lighting is controlled through an application, and changeable LED ambient light can set different moods. A charge spot and battery packs inside the bench supply power and Wi-Fi for mobile devices. Sensors record air quality, temperature, humidity and traffic conditions, and the data is sent to city planners. Steel, aluminium and solid wood are used.
EnGo Smart Street Light by Vladimir Zagorac has been identified as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. EnGo Smart Street Light won the Bronze A' Design Award in Street Furniture Design in 2018. The A' Street and City Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that rewards excellent design of benches, bollards, bus shelters, bicycle racks, litter bins, planters, signage, lighting fixtures and more.
