The building covers 300 square meters and is formed by six modular parts that are joined with special screws and customized waterproofing measures. Riverside Study

Riverside Study is a landscape renovation on the bank of the Liwa River in Shanghai, China. The site was originally a campus warehouse, which was converted into a study. The design considers the architecture, terrain and light, and draws elements from the school badge, the red brick building and the natural growth of plants. A sunken square with soft yellow wooden steps forms seating for rest. The walks along the river are paved with gray stone. Large reflective glass walls protect the privacy of the interior and connect inside and outside.

BaseCamp Lyngby

BaseCamp Lyngby is a student housing campus built on a relatively flat site within a green neighborhood in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark. A serpentine path runs along the full length of the roof, where gardens and small trees form a park-like landscape open to residents and visitors. The curved form wraps around several small courtyards, creating defined and intimate spaces where students can meet, read or relax. The green roof also buffers rainwater and reduces energy use.

Gearing

The conceptual circle shape of the International School of Debrecen symbolizes protection, unity and community. The different functions appear like connected gears, pavilions on a string arranged on an arc. The fragmentation of space creates a variety of community areas between the classrooms. The novel space experience and the constant presence of nature help students in creative thinking and manifesting their ideas. The pathways leading to the offsite educational gardens and the forest complete the circle concept creating an exciting transition between the built and natural environment.

Rizhao Ocean Park

Rizhao

Rizhao is an ocean park that combines an aquarium with a plant and bird park. The design was inspired by the golden sea surface at sunrise. A non-linear parametric method shapes soft patterns that recall ripples on the water. The aquarium facade is clad in golden perforated aluminum panels, while the plant and bird park is enclosed by a glass curtain wall. A spherical single-layer grid skylight with a span of 40 meters crowns the aquarium, and natural light reaches more than 60 percent of the water body. Visiting routes and pools are interspersed to create varied exhibition spaces.
