Changdao One Demonstration Area

Changdao One

Changdao One is a landscape design for a demonstration area in Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, China. The landscape covers 11390 square meters on a long and narrow site. Curved walls of white concrete shape an internal route of 180 meters that is read as a journey through a canyon. A deer sculpture marks the entrance of the canyon. Beyond the canyon, one side presents terraced fields and the other side presents the building placed within the landscape. Darker stone tones were selected to suit the dry local climate, and the curves screen the disordered surrounding buildings.

The Solarlux system construction of the winter garden with its slim wood-aluminum profiles enables a filigree effect.
